QUALITY SYSTEMS, INC. RANKS FOURTH ON FORBES ANNUAL LIST OF AMERICA’S 200 BEST SMALL COMPANIES
IRVINE, Calif. … December 1, 2008 … Quality Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: QSII), a developer of a range of information systems for automating medical and dental practices, announced today that the company ranked fourth in Forbes 2008 listing of America's 200 Best Small Companies list, moving up a notch from its fifth place position in 2007. The list appeared in the Forbes issue dated October 27, 2008.
To qualify for the lists, companies must have had sales of between $5 million and $750 million and a stock price of $5 as of Sept. 29, 2008. The ranking is based on return on equity, sales growth and profit growth over the past 12 months and also over five years. Forbes also compares a company's stock performance with that of its industry peers.
As listed in the Forbes story, Quality Systems' sales grew 39 percent, earnings per share rose 49 percent and return on equity increased 17 percent increase, on average during the past five years.
